Might have already been said but the Fender website says the guitars are made of Pine, not mahogany… Mistake ?

@RobChappers hate to tag on to another comment, but I know how the 5 way switch works. From the neck pick up down:
Position 1= Jazzmaster pickup alone
Position 2= Jazzmaster pickup with one coil of the triple bucker
Position 3= Single coil of the triplebucker by itself
Position 4= THE TRIPLEBUCKER!
Position 5= Two coils of the triplebucker

…and the marauder was considered too futuristic because the prototype had some kind of hidden pickups that seemed to be too expensive (and useless despite the coolness)

Position 1 – …
Position 1 – Humbucker (the 2 outside coils of the triple-bucker), Position 2 – Triple-Bucker (all the 3 coils of the triple-bucker), Position 3 – Single-Coil (the inside coil of the triple-bucker), Position 4 – Single-Coil/Jazzmaster Pickup (the inside coil of the triple-bucker and the neck pickup), Position 5 – Jazzmaster Pickup (the neck pickup)

the bridge postion …
the bridge postion is first two coils like a humbucker, the second postion is all the 3 coils trembucker ,the third positon is 3 coil on trembucker and jazz master soapbar and last position is just the jazz master .these are the correct postions cheers…

Oh, and I agree, Chappers…..those old Klusons are THE BEST tuners ever! The original locking tuner! I’ve never had a problem with them, at all, and are so easy to use.

first position on …
first position on the switch is the p-90, second position is the p-90 with only one coil of the triplebucker, third position is just one coil from the bucker, the fourth is the p-90 and the triple bucker, and the fifth position is all three coils in the triplebucker. just bought the marauder it is an awesome and extremely versatile guitar perfect for gigging.
