    i could never do this, im not that good. he’s REALLY good, having said that, im not a fan of string dampeners. i think it’s kind of cheating LOL. oh well. guy’s a helluva player for sure. i just would like to see what kind of noises his amp makes without that scrunchie around the first fret.

    I played on andys …
    I played on andys ESP in my lesson a while ago, his LP style is suprisingly difficult to play, relatively high action, heavy guage strings, but sounds amazing, Made my M-II sound pretty weak to be honest, even its much easier to play.

    @JamieOldfield I didn’t say whether he’s good or bad. It’s just you making a conjecture.

    @verbotenco andy james is amazing. after seeing him at a clinic i’ve witnessed how good he is. if you dont think he is that good or that he doesnt ‘shred’ then maybe you have something wrong with your hearing

    @ConnorGilks This is even not shred in a traditional sense. He just plays fast, without resorting even once to sweep picking arpeggio like Yngwie.Or maybe the term ‘shred’ has undergone an evolutionary transformation, I don’t know.

    @Akinnss Dude, …
    @Akinnss Dude, that’s his job. His job is to sell products for ESP by doing these clinics. He’s not supposed to play Smoke on the Water or slow blues licks just because you’re sick of shredding. People don’t go “Damn, look at him play Sweet Child Of Mine! Wish I could do that. I should get that guitar so I can.” People think “Wow he can shred on that guitar, it must be wicked easy to play, meaning I can play faster! I’LL TAKE THEM ALL!!!” He’s selling a product, not here to please you.
